MMATS Pro Audio DTX Series
The DTX Series is MMATS' large-format cone-body midbass/midrange platform for systems that need real punch below the vocal range while still carrying strong output into the mids. MMATS offers 10, 12 and 15-inch models in 4-ohm and 8-ohm versions.
Why we use DTX: it works well in stunt walls, bagger panels and large custom doors where smaller mids cannot move enough air. The larger cone area gives the system more authority without asking the subwoofers to play too high.
What matters before choosing one
- 10-inch: best packaging and easiest integration.
- 12-inch: more midbass authority with moderate space requirements.
- 15-inch: maximum cone area when the panel and enclosure can support it.
- 4Ω / 8Ω: choose impedance around amplifier channel count and target load.
Tradeoff: DTX is not a full-range speaker and should hand the top end off to a dedicated tweeter/compression driver. It also needs a rigid baffle and proper crossover protection.
In-store / quote-only product. The 4 DT10X units currently in SMS inventory are confirmed 4-ohm and are assigned to the DT10X.4 variant.
Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
