OPEN-AIR / MOTORCYCLE / POWERSPORTS FIT
Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
Plan aroundConfirm mounting location, depth, cutout and how exposed the speaker will be.
Match itMatch efficiency, usable bandwidth and clean amplifier power to the output needed at speed or outdoors.
Finish itPlan crossover, mounting, wiring and electrical support with the complete open-air system.
Description
LX65-4P — 6.5-Inch Pro Horn Coaxial Speakers — Pair
LX65-4P is the compact LX choice when one 6.5-inch location has to cover projected mids and highs without adding a separate tweeter mount. The integrated horn-loaded high-frequency section simplifies the install compared with a separate pro mid plus super tweeter, while the 57 mm / 2.24-inch depth helps in tighter doors and pods.
SMS would use it in a loud daily, Jeep, powersports-style or custom-panel system where vocal projection matters more than the softer presentation of a conventional SQ coaxial. The 132 Hz–20 kHz response makes this a mid/high speaker; let a subwoofer or dedicated midbass handle the lower range and protect the LX with the correct high-pass filter.
