Description
EM65-4P — 6.5-Inch E-Pro Midrange — 4 Ohm
EM65-4P is Recoil's entry-level pro midrange when the customer wants clearer, more forward vocals than a factory-style speaker but does not need a 200- or 350-watt door build. At 60W RMS and 91 dB sensitivity, it can make useful output on a moderate external amplifier without turning the entire system into a high-current project.
SMS would use it as the vocal/instrument driver in a 2-way or 3-way system with a separate tweeter above it and subwoofer or midbass below it. Recoil publishes 133 Hz–6 kHz, which makes the intended job clear: this is not a full-range coaxial and it is not a door-sub substitute. High-pass it around the actual mounting and output target.

Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
Plan aroundConfirm mounting location, depth, cutout and how exposed the speaker will be.
Match itMatch efficiency, usable bandwidth and clean amplifier power to the output needed at speed or outdoors.
Finish itPlan crossover, mounting, wiring and electrical support with the complete open-air system.
