MX65 — 6.5-Inch Pro Coaxial Speakers with Bullet Tweeters — Pair
MX65 is the practical 6.5-inch route when the customer wants pro-style projection but does not want a separate midrange and tweeter location. Recoil builds the bullet tweeter and high-frequency filter into the same speaker, so a normal 6.5-inch opening can cover the midrange and top end from one mounting point.
SMS would choose MX65 over MX8 when packaging is tighter, and over MX69 when the vehicle does not have a useful 6x9 opening. Recoil rates each speaker at 140W RMS / 280W max, with 93.5 dB sensitivity and an 80 Hz–20 kHz response. Use a subwoofer for deep bass and high-pass the MX appropriately rather than asking a pro coaxial to work like a door sub.
