Description
TW2550 — 2.5-Inch-Class High-Output Super Tweeter — 4 Ohm
TW2550 fills the gap between a normal component tweeter and Recoil's larger high-compression TW250/TW380 pairs. It is a compact high-efficiency driver for a system that needs the top end to stay present with pro mids but does not need hundreds of watts dedicated to the tweeter section.
SMS would use it in a compact pro-audio door or pod layout where the available space and amplifier power favor a smaller tweeter.
SPECIFICATIONS
• Nominal format: 2.5-inch-class high-frequency driver
• Nominal impedance: 4 ohms
• Power handling: 50 W RMS / 100 W peak
• Sensitivity: approximately 105 dB
• Frequency response: approximately 2.8 kHz–20 kHz
• Voice coil: 1 in / 25.5 mm
• System role: Dedicated high-frequency driver; proper high-pass protection required

Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
Plan aroundConfirm mounting location, depth, cutout and how exposed the speaker will be.
Match itMatch efficiency, usable bandwidth and clean amplifier power to the output needed at speed or outdoors.
Finish itPlan crossover, mounting, wiring and electrical support with the complete open-air system.
