KICKER 48KMXL65 6.5-Inch KMXL Horn-Loaded Speakers — Pair
Need a 6.5-inch speaker that can still be heard once the bike, UTV or boat is moving and wind, road and engine noise start covering up a normal coaxial? That is exactly where the KMXL65 makes sense. KICKER combines a 6.5-inch marine-grade woofer with a horn-loaded compression tweeter so the system can stay clear and present at higher output levels instead of disappearing as soon as the environment gets loud.
KICKER rates the KMXL65 at 15–150 watts RMS per speaker with 92 dB sensitivity and a 90 Hz–20 kHz frequency response. That gives you the efficiency needed for motorcycles, powersports and marine systems without asking one small speaker to do the job of a subwoofer. For maximum power handling, KICKER recommends an 80 Hz high-pass crossover at 12 dB/octave.
This used pair has the short horn pieces installed as shown in the actual photo. That can help in a tighter custom location where the full retail configuration is not what the build needs. There are no grilles with this pair, so plan the finished mounting location accordingly if the cones will be exposed to road, trail or cargo-area debris.
What they will not do: these are not subwoofers or deep-bass drivers. They are built to give you strong upper-bass, midrange and high-frequency output in loud environments. This pair also does not include the white or charcoal grilles that come with a new retail KMXL65 set, and it does not include accessories that are not shown with the actual used pair.
