How Information Is Collected

  • Directly from customers through checkout, forms, calls, texts, email, social media, invoices, appointments, approvals, and in-person service.
  • Automatically through Shopify, cookies, pixels, analytics, fraud-prevention tools, server logs, and similar technologies.

Shopify and Checkout Processing

The online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify and its affiliated consumer services can process personal data when a customer visits the store, uses Shop or Shop Pay, creates an account, checks out, tracks an order, or uses Shop Pay Installments. Shopify's own privacy notices apply to Shopify's processing.

SMS generally does not receive or store the full payment-card number entered through Shopify checkout. Payment processors, Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Affirm or other installment partners, and fraud-prevention providers process payment and identity information according to their own terms and privacy notices.

Cookies, Analytics, Advertising, and Network Services

The store can use necessary, functional, analytics, advertising, and social-media cookies or similar technologies. Shopify places cookies on merchant storefronts for checkout, cart, security, preferences, privacy choices, analytics, and other platform functions.

  • Necessary cookies support store operation, cart, checkout, localization, security, and fraud prevention.
  • Analytics technologies help SMS and service providers understand traffic, page use, product interest, and website performance.
  • Advertising or marketing technologies can measure campaigns, personalize content, or help deliver advertising where permitted.
  • Customer privacy choices can be stored in cookies and can apply only to the current browser or device.

Where required or available, customers can use the store's cookie banner, privacy settings, data-sharing opt-out page, browser controls, or platform privacy controls. Blocking cookies can prevent some store features from working correctly.

When Information May Be Disclosed

SMS may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Shopify, payment processors, financing providers, fraud-prevention services, accounting tools, email and communication providers, analytics providers, and hosting or technical service providers.
  • Manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, warranty administrators, and repair facilities for product ordering, compatibility, technical support, or warranty processing.
  • Shipping carriers, delivery providers, insurance providers, and pickup agents.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, financial institutions, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other parties when required by law or needed to protect legal rights and safety.
  • A successor, purchaser, or adviser in connection with a business reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer, subject to applicable requirements.

Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

SMS does not sell customer lists or personal information for direct monetary payment. Some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted-advertising disclosure more broadly than an exchange for money. Shopify, analytics, advertising, and marketing services can process or disclose identifiers and browsing activity for measurement, personalization, or advertising depending on store settings and customer choices.

Where applicable, customers can use available privacy controls to opt out of covered sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity.

Photos, Video, and Vehicle Documentation

SMS may photograph or record a vehicle, product, wiring, serial number, installation area, pre-existing condition, diagnostic process, or completed work when reasonably necessary for estimating, documentation, quality control, warranty support, training, security, insurance, or dispute resolution.

Using identifiable customer or vehicle content in public marketing is separate from internal documentation. SMS should obtain permission before intentionally publishing clearly identifying customer information, personalized details, or license plates. Customers can ask SMS not to use their vehicle or project for public marketing, subject to retention of internal records needed for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Data Retention

SMS retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfillment, accounting, tax records, appointment and service history, product warranty, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, system support, and legitimate business needs.

Retention periods vary by record type, legal requirement, warranty duration, transaction, project, and service-provider settings.

Security

SMS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical practices and relies on service providers to help protect information. No website, email, text message, payment system, cloud service, or physical record system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Customers should not send passwords, complete payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, bank-account credentials, or financing login information through ordinary text, email, or social-media messages.

Customer Privacy Choices and Requests

Depending on applicable law and the nature of the request, a customer may ask SMS to:

  • Access or receive information about personal data SMS maintains.
  • Correct inaccurate contact or account information.
  • Delete certain information, subject to legal, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention, transaction, and legitimate-business retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing email or text communications.
  • Opt out of covered data sale, sharing, or targeted advertising through available store or platform privacy controls.
  • Withdraw permission for future public marketing use of identifiable project content.

SMS may need to verify identity and authority before completing a privacy request. A request submitted by an authorized agent can require proof of authorization.

Marketing Communications

Customers can unsubscribe from marketing email by using the unsubscribe link. Text-message opt-out instructions, when applicable, are provided in the message or program terms. Transactional communications concerning orders, appointments, balances, safety, recalls, warranties, or active projects can continue when necessary.

Children

The website and services are intended for adults and for customers legally able to enter a purchase or service agreement. SMS does not knowingly use personal information from children for targeted marketing. A parent or guardian should contact SMS if they believe a child submitted information without authorization.

External Links and Third-Party Services

The website can link to manufacturers, financing providers, social networks, mapping services, carriers, and other third parties. Their privacy practices and terms are controlled by those third parties, not SMS.

Policy Changes

SMS may update this policy to reflect changes in store operations, service providers, technology, or legal requirements. The updated date at the top identifies the current published version.
