Current Vault Power Battery Families

  • Element 11 sodium-ion batteries: Sodium-ion models for automotive, motorcycle, powersports, marine, and custom 12-volt electrical applications when the exact charging and voltage requirements are compatible.
  • LI-HD lithium batteries: Motorcycle-focused lithium battery models that require exact Harley-Davidson fitment, charging compatibility, cable, fuse, and mounting verification.

When Additional Battery Support May Be Appropriate

  • Multiple-amplifier systems with sustained current demand.
  • Jeep, motorcycle, powersports, or show builds with substantial lighting and accessory loads.
  • Vehicles showing measurable voltage drop, slow recovery, battery discharge, or amplifier-protection events.
  • Systems operated for extended periods with the engine off or at low charging output.
  • Builds planned for future expansion that require additional reserve and properly sized distribution.

Battery Chemistry and Charging Must Match

Sodium-ion, lithium iron phosphate, AGM, and other battery chemistries do not share identical charging requirements. A battery must be compatible with the vehicle's regulated voltage, intelligent charging strategy, alternator, external charger, battery-management or balancing system, and any other battery connected to the vehicle.

  • Confirm the manufacturer's allowable operating and charging voltage range.
  • Confirm maximum alternator or charger current for the exact battery.
  • Confirm whether active or passive balancing is built into the battery.
  • Confirm whether mixed battery chemistries are approved in the proposed layout.
  • Confirm start-stop, intelligent battery sensor, registration, and vehicle-programming requirements.
