Description
The ARC Audio X2 850.5 is a five-channel Class-D amplifier designed to power an entire audio system from one compact chassis. Four full-range channels can operate component speakers, coaxial speakers, or front and rear speaker systems, while the dedicated fifth channel supplies up to 400 watts RMS to a 2-ohm subwoofer load.
Using one amplifier for the main speakers and subwoofer reduces wiring, installation space, and the number of system connections. The full-range channel pairs can also be bridged when a higher-power two-channel configuration is needed. Built-in high-pass filtering for the full-range channels and a dedicated low-pass section for the subwoofer channel provide the basic crossover control required for common full-system installations.
Balanced differential inputs allow the X2 850.5 to work with aftermarket source units and many factory radios, including speaker-level sources used with the supplied input pigtails. The Level 1 installer-focused chassis uses a rotatable CNC-machined badge, with gain, crossover, and connection access located beneath the removable top panel.
