KICKER • L7T • COMPQ • SOLOX L7X • BASS PLANNING

How much bass do you want, and how much vehicle are you willing to give it?

A shallow truck system, controlled daily bass and a SoloX build should not start with the same enclosure or amplifier plan. Space, output target and normal vehicle use come first.

The subwoofer is only one part. The box, power, impedance and electrical system decide what it can actually do.

Three very different KICKER bass jobs.

CompQ • premium daily / SQL bass

CompQ makes sense when the goal is strong bass with control and enough amplifier capability to be part of a more serious daily system.

CompQ subwoofers →

SoloX L7X • extreme-output bass

At this level the enclosure, bracing, amplifier bank, wiring, batteries, alternator capacity, voltage and vehicle structure are all part of the bass system.

SoloX L7X subwoofers →

The enclosure is not leftover packaging.

Net airspace, port area, tuning, driver and port displacement, bracing, mounting depth, cone clearance and the way the enclosure loads into the cabin all change the result. Under-seat boxes add floor humps, seat brackets and seat travel to the equation.

Same brand. Completely different bass systems.
