Kicker Bass Paths
- CompQ: premium daily bass, controlled output, cleaner blend, and musical low-end support.
- CompVX: higher-output daily bass when the enclosure, amplifier, and electrical support are planned correctly.
- SoloX: serious high-output bass systems that need the full enclosure, wiring, amplifier, and electrical plan to support the woofer.
- Loaded enclosure: good when the matched woofer-and-box package fits the vehicle and customer goal.
- Custom enclosure: best when space, shape, output, finish, and tuning need to be built around the vehicle.
Do Not Choose a Subwoofer by RMS Alone
- Available space and whether cargo or seat function needs to remain usable.
- Sealed, ported, loaded, underseat, or custom enclosure direction.
- Subwoofer size, mounting depth, and box airspace requirement.
- Amplifier power, final impedance, and gain structure.
- Battery, alternator, power wire, fuse protection, and ground path.
- How the bass should blend with the rest of the system.
Custom Box vs Loaded Enclosure
A Kicker loaded enclosure can be the right move when the customer wants a matched package and the box fits the vehicle. A custom enclosure is better when the space, shape, finish, output goal, or tuning needs to be built around the vehicle.

The subwoofer and amplifier need to be planned together. A woofer that looks good on paper can fail to perform if the amplifier, impedance, wiring, or enclosure is wrong.
