DSP is useful when there is something specific we need to control.
That may be a factory Bose signal, an active three-way front stage, multiple speaker locations, subwoofer integration or a whole system that needs routing and crossover discipline. The processor is the tool—not the goal.
We map the inputs, outputs and amplifier channels first. Then we choose the ARC processor or DSP amplifier that fits that map.

Eight amplifier channels plus additional processed outputs fit active systems and factory-radio builds that may also feed other amplification.

Standalone DSP makes sense when the amplification architecture is already defined or needs to remain separate from the processor.

When the current X2 DSP-equipped amplifier configuration matches the power and channel plan, it can combine several jobs into one package.
OEM / digital accessories
Current ARC integration accessories support the connection and control side of DSP systems where the vehicle or source requires it.
The factory signal comes before the tune.
If the OEM amplifier splits the frequency range, applies EQ, rolls bass off with volume or uses other processing, we have to understand that before the aftermarket DSP gets involved. After the signal path is correct, DSP gives us control of routing, crossover, level, delay, EQ and the relationships between speaker sections.
