ARC Audio DSP Processors & DSP Amplifiers
ARC Audio DSP products are for customers who want control, not just louder sound. A DSP lets us correct factory signal problems, set crossovers, time-align speakers, tune EQ, balance levels, control phase, and make the system play as one complete build.
ARC DSP Buying Guide
| ARC DSP Path | What It Does | Best Fit |
|---|---|---|
| ARC Blackbird DSP Amplifier | 8 amplified channels with 12 total DSP-controlled outputs when using RCA expansion. | Active 2-way systems, factory integration, speaker upgrades, and systems that need sub/amp expansion. |
| ARC Falcon DSP Amplifier | 12 amplified channels with 16 total DSP channels. | Advanced active systems, RS speaker builds, 3-way front stages, and full-vehicle speaker control. |
| Standalone DSP / Processor Path | Signal processing separate from amplifiers. | Builds using separate Copper, X2, Nighthawk, or other amplifiers where processor flexibility matters. |
| OEM Integration DSP Path | Corrects and manages factory radio or factory amplifier signal. | Modern vehicles with factory EQ, bass roll-off, premium audio, or active speaker outputs. |
What ARC DSP Control Does
- Time alignment: Helps vocals and instruments land in a better stage position.
- EQ: Helps smooth harsh peaks, weak areas, and vehicle cabin problems.
- Crossovers: Keeps tweeters, mids, midbass drivers, and subs in safer working ranges.
- Phase and polarity control: Helps speakers blend instead of fighting each other.
- Level matching: Balances tweeters, mids, doors, rear fill, and subwoofer output.
- OEM correction: Helps when factory audio signal is already processed before the aftermarket system receives it.
Blackbird vs Falcon vs Separate DSP
Blackbird is a strong choice when the build needs 8 amplified channels and DSP-controlled expansion. Falcon is the larger channel-count option for advanced active systems and full-vehicle control. Separate DSP with separate amplifiers makes sense when the customer wants a processor-and-amp architecture or needs amplifier power handled outside the DSP amp.
