Description
The ARC Audio X2 602 is a pair of 6.5-inch two-way coaxial speakers for factory-location replacement and custom full-range systems. Each speaker combines a mica-loaded polypropylene woofer cone with an NBR rubber surround and a 20 mm wool-damped silk-dome tweeter.
An aluminum voice-coil former, copper winding, neodymium tweeter motor and integrated crossover components support dependable operation. Front and rear sealing surfaces help the speaker couple correctly to the mounting panel.

How SMS Uses the X2 602
The X2 602 is a practical Level 1 ARC Audio coaxial for factory locations where simple packaging and broad full-range coverage matter. SMS commonly uses a coaxial like this for rear doors, secondary speaker locations, or front locations where a separate tweeter is not practical.
When to Choose X2 602 Instead of X2 6.2
- X2 602: Choose it when the woofer and tweeter need to share one factory opening or when the system should remain simple.
- X2 6.2 component set: Choose it for the front stage when the vehicle supports separate woofer and tweeter locations and improved tweeter placement is worthwhile.
Common System Uses
- Rear-door speakers behind an X2 component front stage.
- Factory-location front upgrades where coaxial packaging is the correct fit.
- Four-channel systems powered by an X2 600.4 or another appropriately matched amplifier.
- DSP-assisted systems where factory-signal correction and overall system tuning are desired even though the speaker itself remains coaxial.
Installation Matters
SMS confirms mounting depth, cutout, adapter geometry, grille clearance, window clearance, sealing, polarity, and the source signal before installation. The mounting surface should be rigid and sealed so the speaker is not losing midbass through panel movement or air leaks.
