Description
The ARC Audio X2 6.2 is a two-way component speaker system built around a pair of 6.5-inch woofers, separate 27 mm soft-dome tweeters and matched passive crossover networks.
The woofers use mica-loaded polypropylene cones and NBR rubber surrounds. The separate tweeters allow placement and aiming for improved staging, while the 12 dB/octave crossover networks divide frequency duties and include bridge-type tweeter protection with Mylar capacitors.

The X2 6.2 is a core Level 1 ARC Audio front-stage option for customers who want a meaningful daily-driver upgrade without immediately moving into a fully active AS or RS system. Its separate tweeter and passive crossover allow better front-stage placement than a coaxial while keeping channel count and system complexity reasonable.
Best System Fits
- Factory-location front speaker upgrades where a separate tweeter location is available.
- Passive front stages powered by an ARC X2 amplifier or another correctly matched amplifier.
- Systems that may add DSP for factory-signal correction, EQ, delay, and subwoofer integration while retaining the passive component crossovers.
- Daily-driver systems paired with X2 coaxials in rear locations and a dedicated subwoofer system.
X2 Does Not Mean Basic
A Level 1 X2 system can still include proper OEM integration, sound treatment, rigid adapters, clean amplification, DSP, and a tuned subwoofer system. The X2 level describes the speaker platform and system direction—not a shortcut on installation quality.

SMS confirms cutout, depth, adapter geometry, window clearance, tweeter mounting, door sealing, polarity, amplifier power, and the factory signal before finalizing the system. A properly installed X2 6.2 system will outperform a more expensive speaker installed into a weak mounting or poor source signal.
