OPEN-AIR / MOTORCYCLE / POWERSPORTS FIT
Where this fits in the build
These speakers have to work where wind, road noise, mounting space and exposure change the job. Match the driver to the actual location, output target, amplifier power and environment instead of treating it like a normal door-speaker replacement.
Plan aroundConfirm mounting location, depth, cutout and how exposed the speaker will be.
Match itMatch efficiency, usable bandwidth and clean amplifier power to the output needed at speed or outdoors.
Finish itPlan crossover, mounting, wiring and electrical support with the complete open-air system.
Description
Beyma PRO8WND-4 — 8-Inch Neodymium Midbass/Midrange — 4 Ohms
Choose the 4-ohm PRO8WND when one 8-inch driver will normally have its own amplifier channel and that channel is designed around a 4-ohm load. This is the straightforward one-driver-per-channel version for custom doors, motorcycle or powersports locations, and active DSP systems where each speaker can be tuned independently.
The reason to choose 4 ohms is the amplifier architecture—not because it is a better-quality version than the 8-ohm model. If two PRO8WND drivers need to share one channel, the 8-ohm version can make more sense because two 8-ohm drivers wired in parallel create a nominal 4-ohm final load.
MANUFACTURER / APPLICATION DATA
• Model: PRO8WND-4
• Nominal size: 8 inches
• Nominal impedance: 4 ohms
• Motor: Neodymium
• Role: Low/mid-frequency driver
• Sold as: Single speaker
Final crossover, amplifier power and mounting/enclosure strategy still have to be chosen around the actual installation.
