Vocals / midrange

Dedicated midrange drivers are chosen for efficiency and projection through the vocal and instrument range.

Midbass needs rigid mounting, enough cone area and a crossover range that lets it connect the subwoofer system to the rest of the music.

Dash / compact full-range

Small-format full-range drivers can cover more bandwidth from tight locations when the system architecture calls for it.

High-frequency projection

High-efficiency tweeters can add substantial top-end output, but they need crossover protection and level control so they integrate with the mids instead of taking over the system.

Coaxial / one-location coverage

Coaxial options make sense where packaging limits the number of speaker locations and the system needs broader-band output from one opening.

Large-format output

The current collection also reaches into larger midbass, midrange and woofer-style drivers for systems where cone area and dedicated fabrication become part of the build.

Loud is fine. The crossover still has to keep the equipment alive.

We do not use the bottom number of a published response range as an automatic high-pass setting. The safe crossover depends on the exact driver, amplifier power, mounting or enclosure, slope and how hard the system will be played.

In a DSP-controlled system, crossover, level, delay, EQ and polarity/phase relationships can then be adjusted so the speaker sections add together instead of competing with each other.
